Sometimes imperfect protection is better than no protection at all; Proprietary Blends protect against copycat formulas
Dear AllStarHealth.com,
I’ve been using supplements for a long time and have noticed that some formulas list all their ingredients and tell you exactly how much of each one there is. Other products lump everything into one list under a heading like ‘Proprietary Blend’ or “Exclusive HyperDiet Complex” without specifying ingredient amounts. Why do only some products specify amounts? I would think every customer wants or evenĀ needs to know that.

Monday, August 25th, 2008Despite a popular perception to the contrary, the vast majority of supplement companies really do have your best interests at heart. After all, the best - and only - way for them to secure long-term profitability is to make effective and safe products; failing to do either one of those guarantees a fast-track to the clearance rack with all the other duds. Although, as in any industry, there have been and will be those few companies out to make a fast buck, most companies are looking at long-term growth and profits and the only way to secure those is to make safe and effective products.
