An overlooked natural "anti-inflammatory"

Details: This may seem like an odd pair; one ingredient (quercetin) is a plant flavonol, the other (bromelain) is a digestive enzyme from pineapple. The reason they're paired together is that both have potent anti inflammatory properties, including the ability to inhibit production and release of histamines. Histamines are pro-inflammatory compounds that give rise to allergy type symptoms including rashes, itching, sneezing congestion and headaches. This combination of Quercetin and Bromelain is often referred to as a "natural anti-histamine". It is not a drug of course, and not as strong as antihistamine drugs but neither does it have any side effects. When I use it, I take 3 capsules every three hours, tapering down to 1 capsule every three hours before discontinuing use.
