NOW Food's Reduced Gluathione is an important new supplement for those concerned with detoxification and liver support. Glutathione acts as a powerful antioxidant throughout the body and as a detoxification factor in the liver. It is a natural tripeptide compound, a small protein made of three amino acids; cysteine, glutamic acid and glycine.  Great detox product; Glutathione with milk thistle and lipoic acid

| Details: Glutathione is an important antioxidant and detox compound in the liver. But glutathione supplements don't raise blood or liver levels directly since it breaks down in the stomach. It has been shown however, that taking glutathione precursors like cysteine and lipoic acid can increase glutathione synthesis. So because glutathione supplements break down into the same compounds shown to produce new glutathione, logically this product stands a good chance of raising liver levels.
With the inclusion of milk thistle,this is a great all-in-one product to help cleanse the liver, especially if you've been taking medications, or consuming a lot of alcohol.
