naNO Vapor is extremely powerful, so do yourself a favor. Start off by mixing 1 scoop (1 serving) with 3 to 4 oz. of cold water and downing it about 15 minutes before hitting the weights. Then, grab something heavy. As you develop respect for, and understand the power of naNO Vapor, you can gradually increase the dosage to 2 to 3 scoops (2 to 3 serving) mixed in 8 to 12 oz. of cold water before working out.
For maximum results, consume on an empty stomach. Do not exceed 3 scoops (servings) in a 24-hour period. Due to the extreme reactivity of the naNO Vapor formula, make sure the container is stabilized for at least 10 to 15 seconds before opening the lid.  Here’s yet another good preworkout drink mix formula this time from Muscle Tech.

Disliked: 1 Wasn’t crazy about the taste, but I had no trouble drinking it. 2 I'd prefer they didn't use artificial FD&C colors.
My chance to try naNO Vapor came in February when I picked up a tub. It’s got 40 servings per tub in the 2.2 lb. size and was getting good reviews from other customers. But you never really know until you try something yourself.
Preworkout products like naNO Vapor are all used in pretty much the same way – you take them before your workout to increase energy, endurance and intensity.
For people like me who have to train in the evenings after work, these products are a Godsend. Who, after all, has lots of energy at 7pm when you’ve been up since 6 am working and doing everything else? Not me, and perhaps not you. So preworkout products are, to me, indispensable for staying in shape year round.
Although they have caffeine, their drink-mix format means you ultimately control the dosage and with a little experimentation, you will be able to adjust the dose up or down depending on that day’s needs. Also, as drinks versus tablets or capsules they ‘kick in’ very quickly and just as important for the evening workouts, they are metabolized much faster than tablets or capsules. So they get out of your system fairly quickly too. Many people including myself use these products in the early evening and have no trouble sleeping.
Just as directed I mixed a scoop of the powder into some cold water, reusing a water bottle. I drank that on the way to the gym which allowed for the 15 minutes Muscle Tech says it will take for the product to kick in.
It mixed up very well with no residual unmixed powder remaining. This has been an issue with other products in this category like NO Shotgun and Super Pump, which seemed to resist mixing completely into water The taste was tolerable. I would not say it tasted good, nor would I say it is difficult to get down. I had the “Fruit Punch” flavor.
None of that mattered for very long though. naNO Vapor kicks in very quickly and my first workout with it was one of the best I’d had in a long time. I didn’t even feel like I need to warm up, I walked into the gym feeling great and absolutely ready to kill the weights. That first workout was a chest, shoulders and tris split and after destroying those muscles for an hour, I still had energy so I finished off with calves and abs for another half hour or so.
The NO in the name of this product and other like it refers to nitric oxide which is a compound the body produces to dilate and widen blood vessels. NO ingredients can give you a temporarily increased ‘muscle pump’, but whether this translates into actual postworkout size and strength gains is subject to debate.
Like the other products in this category naNO Vapor also includes creatine in several forms. Creatine, though not a stimulant itself, increases the work capacity of muscles and therefore makes a good complement to the stimulant ingredients in naNO vapor.
Bottom line: naNO Vapor is an excellent preworkout drink mix about which I’d have no qualms about purchasing or using again. Ideally, interested customers could try a few products in this category over the course of a few months. That is really the only way to experience the differences firsthand and identify which one works out the best for you.
