GLA is an important Omega-6 component. Carlson Salmon Oil is extracted from salmon found in the deep, unpolluted waters of Norway. The GLA is derived from black currant seed oil. Carlson Salmon Fish Oil product is regularly tested using AOAC international protocols for potency and purity by and independent, FDA registered laboratory and found to be free of detectable levels of mercury, cadmium, lead, PCBs and 28 other contaminants.
