Quick, tasty energy boost

Ive used many different nutrition and energy products since taking up road cycling, mostly bars and gels, but these are by far my favorite. They taste great, dont mess with my stomach and almost liquify when you chew them. Ive only used the Cherry and Orange variants so far both contain caffeine which I like for my morning rides but can certainly recommend.

Quick Shot

Eating real food while on the bike is the best choice, but these morsels of sugar are a good second. A sleeve of six bloks to a package, 200 calories, and while not significant doses of sodium and potassium to rave about, these will still cut into a bonk. If I ran anymore, these would be portable options for a longish, steady-state workout. They could double as a late afternoon, something on the stomach fuel to will yourself to that late day exercise, and a couple could provide a lift on a day hike. I eat the non-caffeine flavors, which are mountain berry, strawberry, and citrus. Tastes are distinctive, especially when your body craves a dose of carbs.

Shot Blocks

These little square of gummy goodness are amazing. They taste good and certainly get the job done. I recently went backpacking for three days with my friend and our two sons. The heat was brutal and there was one point where I did not know if my son was going to be able to carry on. After sitting in the shade and eating two of these squares and drinking water, I saw the color return to his face and within about 5 minutes not only was he ready to tackle the rest of the mountain, he was leading us all. Thank you Clif!
