Dior Homme Cologne
Description from
DIOR
The iris reveals its singular elegance in a luminous cologne infused with a paradoxical fresh, powdery accord. Created in the purest tradition of colognes, Dior Homme Cologne retains the singularity of the original fragrance while offering a fresher interpretation replete with the rich, powerful notes of bergamot and orange blossom.
Top Note: PETIT GRAIN - Cultivated in Paraguay, petit grain is obtained by distilling the leaves and branches of the bitter orange tree. It is used as a base in colognes. Fresh, green and invigorating, with just a hint of bitterness, petit grain contributes its floral overtones to the heart notes of Eau Fraiche
Heart Note: IRIS - Iris absolute is one of the most precious ingredients of the perfumer's palette. The extraction process is very long and complex. The rhizome must first be treated, then left to dry for at least three years. Its extraordinarily powerful, almost all-pervading scent has characteristic powdery notes and a green woody facet that has comforting overtones of freshly baked bread in the heart notes of Dior Homme and Dior Homme Cologne.
Base Note: VETIVER - Native to India and Indonesia, but also found in Haiti and Reunion, vetiver is a perennial plant whose fragrant substances are contained in its roots. The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation. The lingering scent of vetiver is used in woody, chypre and oriental compositions. Vetiver brings its daring and sophistication to the dry-down of Eau Sauvage, Higher Energy and Dior Homme, and its free spirit to the heart notes of Fahrenheit 32
