Xyli Pure is xylitol, a naturally occuring polyol, a 5-carbon sugar alcohol found in many fruits and vegetables. Xylitol has the same sweetness as sugar with 30% fewer calories. Details: Who really feels good about having to use those blue, pink or yellow packets? I don't. Here's the best natural alternative yet. Xylitol (ZYE-li-toll) is a natural compound made in the human body and found in many vegetables and fruits. When purified and crystallized, xylitol looks and tastes nearly identical to sugar, but has only a small fraction of the carbohydrate calories and a very low glycemic index. Use it wherever you'd use sugar, spoon for spoon. It actually inhibits tooth decay by inhibiting the ability of plaque-forming bacteria to cling to teeth.
