Creatine is a nutrient that is naturally found in our bodies. It is made from a combination of 3 amino acids: Arginine, Glycine, and Methionine. These 3 amino acids help provide the energy that our muscle require to move, particularly movements which are quick and explosive in nature. When your muscles contract, the initial fuel for this movement is a compound called Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). This energy is created when ATP releases one of its phosphate molecules thereby becoming Adenosine Diphosphate (ADP). ATP reserves typically last only a few seconds at which time creatine phosphate begins providing the necessary phosphate molecules. This allows ADP to once again become ATP, allowing the energy cycle to continue. Creatine Monohydrate increases your body's levels of available Creatine to ensure regeneration of ATP. Creatine is also low in Creatinine (a negative byproduct from creatine breakdown).
Benefits may include;
Improved: Lean muscle mass, Muscular contractions, Strength and Power, Muscle pumps, Lifting intensity (due to less muscle tissue fatigue), ATP preservation and recovery
Decreased: Muscle breakdown
