Isopure Overview

Month in and month out, one of our top-selling products is the Nature's Best Isopure Protein supplement. A few key features keep this line selling better than the hundreds of products against which it competes. In terms of protein, it's hard to beat Isopure with its sky-high 50 grams per serving, all of which is from 100% premium whey protein isolate (WPI). Because it's made from pure WPI, Isopure is virtually lactose-free and ridiculously low in carbs (0g) and fat (1g). Isopure is lactose and aspartame-free also (sucralose aka Splenda is used). Isopure makes a good protein shake if that's all you want, but works equally well as the basis for a meal replacement shake since Isopure contains essential vitamins and minerals. In that case, be sure to make the shake with non-skim milk or consume some healthy fats to help you absorb all of Isopure's vitamins.

Isopure Description from NATURE'S BEST

Best ever tried

I had been skeptical since I have always used another brand, but recently they re-formatted their ingredients which made it have twice the carbs. This stuff is amazing!

LOVE IT!!!

I have had a lot of GI problems and this is the only protein powder that doesn't upset my stomach. The chocolate and cookies and cream are the best. Not so fond of the strawberries and cream, but I am not a fruit person either.

High Quality Stuff

I've been using Isopure for about 2 years now and have been very pleased with it. It is more expensive than most brands, but it provides the highest protein/cal ratio and includes L-Glutamine if you're into that (saves money, too). It mixes well, particularly if you have a shaker bottle. Even stirring with a spoon is not bad. In terms of taste, my recommendation is to stick with the Dutch Chocolate. When mixed with water, it tastes like chocolate milk to me. I actually like the consistency and taste with water better than when mixed with milk. They designed it well. Cookies and cream is good, but if you've had Intek Evolution's cookies and cream, you'll be disappointed in the taste. The strawberry is palatable, but does not taste like strawberry milk or anything. A word of warning: the mint chocolate chip is awful; stay away. If you're a mint chocolate fiend like me, you won't be able to help yourself and will have to give it a try, but it is disgusting. It took almost all my will power to finish the 3 lb tub so I could get back to glorious Dutch chocolate. It tastes like some sort of terrible medicine and I finished most of it only by holding my nose. I've only tried those 4 flavors, so I can't speak for the rest. I try to get most of my calories from real food, but when I need a shake, this is my go-to protein. Particularly on a cut, this stuff lets me get my protein count up without wasting valuable calories on tag-along carbs or fat.

Not as good as bottle version

I tried the bottled isopure, apple melon and blue raspberry flavors and absolutely loved them. They go down like sugar free lemonade or a similar light flavored juice. I thought I would be getting the same product with this powder, but that's not the case. It doesn't taste bad, per se, but it gets really frothy and is not clear like the bottled ones you buy. It's weird to get a fruity taste with a frothy drink. It's definitely easier to get down than some of the other whey protein drinks I've had. If you expect this to come out exactly like the bottled ones, then don't bother getting it. However, if you want a protein drink that has good quality protein, is fairly easy to get down, and has zero carbs and fat, get this bad boy.

Best in its class

I've gone through many whey protein powders, and Isopure stands out as the best in the class of whey isolates. It's got everything I want e.g. fortified vitmains + minerals, and nothing I don't e.g. fat and carbs. The price may be slightly more than the mainstream (e.g. ON Gold) counterparts, but the quality and attention to detail for Isopure makes every dollar worth it. The only other product that comes close to Isopure is Ultimate Nutrition's Iso Sensation. Mixing it with yogurt is a nice way to thicken the consistency.
