When ZMA - a patented combination of zinc, magnesium and B6 - was first introduced, it was marketed as a testosterone booster based on study results that generated a considerable amount of discussion and controversy. It may only be an effective test booster in younger athletes, or in only those who are zinc-deficient, or there might be other factors involved but it's fair to say it hasn't lived up to the hype that surrounded it's introduction.
That's a shame because even if it did nothing for testosterone, ZMA is still a great recovery formula. In hindsight, it probably would have been more accurate, if a lot less exciting, to market ZMA as such, instead of the Next Big Test Booster; after all, all three nutrients in ZMA are depleted by exercise and training, and all three nutrients are essential for recovery, recuperation and tissue building, too. Since most of these processes occur during sleep, it also makes sense to take ZMA at bedtime, just as the labels have always suggested. So ZMA might not be a great test booster, but as a recovery formula NOW ZMA is an inexpensive way to tighten up some of the nutritional slack undermining your strength and size gains.

Manufacturer's Directions
As a dietary supplement, men take 3 capsules (women take 2 capsules) daily, preferably on an empty stomach, 30 - 60 minutes before bedtime. For best results, avoid taking with dairy or other calcium-containing foods or supplements. Consider taking this product in combination with NOW D-Flame, Celadrin and TestoJack 100.
