Health Benefits
In addition to being necessary for good health, choline has been shown to have other benefits. Animal studies have shown choline to improve fetal brain and cognitive development when taken during pregnancy. The same studies also suggest that choline taken during pregnancy may even lessen or prevent age-associated cognitive and memory decline. More research is necessary to learn whether these benefits are the same for humans. Other studies suggest that choline may help in the treatment of certain cancers. More research is needed.
