Wheat Sprouts
What are Wheat Sprouts?
Wheat sprouts are the beginnings of wheat grass, just after the seed begins to grow. If left to grow into wheat grass, the resulting plant will eventually yield wheat grain. Sprouts of wheat and other plants (broccoli, oat, mung bean, clover, etc.) are consumed as health foods or in concentrated supplement form.
Health Benefits
Many people consume wheat and other sprouts for their high nutrient content. Wheat sprouts are lower in fat/protein than the seed was before germination, but generally have a higher B-vitamin content and a high water content.
Usage Indications
Wheat sprouts are available in sprout or concentrated supplement form. For supplements: use as directed.
