Milk Thistle is great for liver function, but!

What many people don't know is that Artichoke (Leaf) is in the same family as MT. Plus, it is far more beneficial to the liver and also provides a rich source of nutrition. It is nice (enhances the supplement) that it was 'snuck in' as the last item. On the flip side it AL was the first item, there would be no added benefit to include MT. It is, however, counter-intuitive to burden the liver with the toxin magnesium stearate, which coats the ingredients and inflames the GI tract. It should be noted that the liver is an EXTREMELY regenerative organ. To be perfectly clear, even if a person's liver has stopped working, but (s)he is still breathing, then their liver, with proper support, can very quickly regenerate. Consume AL, MT and/or other liver support supplements daily. For serious liver conditions you need to supplement with liver extract, aloe vera, tudca, lecithin and lipoic acid just to name a few.

great product

Silymarin, ,Or Milk Thistle is very important to take to keep your liver functioning properly when on medications. Especially antibiotics. Medications make the liver work overtime and can cause many problems. Please do research on this. I have been using NOW Milk Thistle for many years, and my blood work comes back great in regards to my liver. Remember, do your research on how Milk Thistle aids in the liver function. And why you should be concerned about your liver while on any medications before you take any supplements.
