Optimox Iodoral provides two types of iodine in the forms of both pure iodine and iodide. Each tablet equates to the average daily amount of elemental iodine received by the mainland Japanese population, mostly from their seafood and seaweed-rich diets. Iodine is essential in maintaining thyroid health because it is a key building block in the production of the thyroid hormones thyroxine and triodothyronine, which help regulate the metabolism. Regular supplementation with Iodoral can help ensure your body gets enough iodine if you’re not able to eat iodine-rich foods for one reason or another.
It is important to not overtake iodine because too much can actually be harmful and toxic to your body. When using iodine supplements like Optimox Iodoral, make sure you follow the directions on the label and supplement with the proper amount. If you think you have thyroid problems, please consult your physician immediately before taking any dietary supplements.
