Fat for Fuel
BT Coconut MCT Oil is pretty much tasteless, which is good for mixing into protein drinks and other foods without the big coconut flavor (which I love, but not in all foods). I am an endurance athlete in my 50's and eat a high fat, moderate protein and pretty low carb diet for health, weight management and prolonged and sustained energy. I use MCT oil in my sports bottles to keep my body fueled for workouts/races that are over 2 hours and it gives me better energy then the traditional gels and carbs that many athletes fuel up on. MCT oil is my secret weapon for strength and endurance and preventing bonking. When I'm hungry at night I also pour a teaspoonful into some (unsweetened) Greek yogurt and blueberries as a late snack in order to feel satiated but not have heavy food in my stomach. BT Coconut MCT Oil is good quality and I love this stuff!!!
