Very effective, but has side effects

My son has ADHD with aggression significant enough that it is difficult for him to go to preschool without some kind of calming. The main ingredient in this tincture is NOT camomile, it is wood betony (good for calming fears and slowing down excessive mind activity, in addition to the aggression-calming + focus help). He has "good days" at school when I give him 3ml of this in a drink on an empty stomach the morning of school (A GIFT!) However, that evening, his mind and mouth seem to run 100 mph and he has significant fears (of the possibility of tornados during the day, and of shadows when he wakes at night). Before taking this, he never had any fears, day or night, and I never commented on his mind seeming to work in overdrive. We may use at a lower dose on very rare occasions in the future, but will stop using it day-to-day for school, which is SO HARD :( Don't know what else will work, but am going to try some homemade camomile-only syrup.
