Magnesium Citrate Overview

Magnesium is an extremely important mineral to our bodies, with benefits ranging from energy production to bone strength. A single serving of NOW Magnesium Citrate gives you vital magnesium in a form that's very easy for your body to use. The mineral magnesium is actually very common in normal diets, but many people still suffer from magnesium deficiency. This happens because of other nutrients, like fluoride, certain foods, and alcohol use can increase how much magnesium we need.

Magnesium Citrate is easier for our bodies to use than forms found in other supplements. Getting enough magnesium helps your body make and use energy, utilize calcium to build bones, build proteins, and is essential in enzyme reactions throughout our bodies. Make sure nothing is keeping you from getting all the magnesium you need by supplementing your diet with NOW Magnesium Citrate.

Magnesium Citrate Description from Now
Magnesium Citrate is produced from the synthesis of Magnesium Carbonate and Citric Acid and is a readily bioavailable source of this key mineral. It plays key roles in the activation of amino acids for protein biosynthesis and is highly concentrated in intracellular fluid and bone.

Memory improvement

I was worried about slow memory retrieval and dry skin issues. The results of a functional medicine test measured minimal amounts of magnesium, so I googled the side effects of low magnesium--slow memory retrieval, dry and cracking skin. These helped a lot.
