Grown in South India? Tastes more "sea-weedy?"

Translation: Grown in the Ganges. That ain't seaweed you're tastin' - Organic? I'll say! Run! :)

The manufacturing unit is located in Oonaiyur, South India. The unit is away from industrial, agricultural and human settlements. The plant is spread over a huge area of 130 acres with a pristine ground water supply. No pesticides, no herbicides and no chemical fertilizers are used in the process of cultivation. The location provides a conducive environment for Organic Spirulina cultivation with an ideal high temperature of 86°F to 102°F ( 30°C to 39°C), low rainfall, low humidity and ideal sunlight through the year.

I wonder where this organic Spirulina comes from

NOW states on it's non-organic version that it is 100% Hawaiian. There is no indication on this organic version of its origin. I am curious what is the difference. Taste-wise, this organic version tastes more sea-weedy, whereas the Hawaiian non-organic tastes sweeter and more pleasant. I wonder where the organic comes from.
