What is a non-soap cleansing bar?
Non-soap bars were developed over 50 years ago specifically for people with skin issues. Unlike traditional soaps, they are pH balanced. This does two things: 1) It makes them suitable for people with red, itchy skin conditions; and 2) It allows them to carry delicate ingredients, such as borage oil.
Why are they so uncommon in the stores?
Traditional bar soap has been made in the same way for literally thousands of years. It is widely believed that this method is more natural and closer to nature. We do not dispute this, but we recognize that not everybody has the same skin. What we offer is a safe alternative for people who cannot use traditional soaps due to skin sensitivities.
