Burdock grows naturally in Europe in Asia and is cultivated in other parts of the world where conditions permit. Traditionally, burdock root has been used as an herbal medicine primarily for throat irritation, viruses like colds and flu, throat pain, and as a diuretic. In modern times, burdock is still used in these ways.
